Shipping policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Automation Hub ships products ranging from small parts and accessories to large robotic, commercial, electrical, automation, and industrial equipment. Because our products may ship from Automation Hub inventory, partner warehouses, suppliers, distributors, or manufacturers located throughout the United States and internationally, shipping methods and lead times vary by product and order.

We work to provide accurate and realistic shipping estimates and to keep customers informed throughout the fulfillment process.

Order Processing & Lead Times

Product availability and lead times vary depending on the product, quantity, manufacturer, supplier, configuration, and shipping destination.

Some products are stocked directly by Automation Hub and may be available for immediate or expedited shipment. Other products may ship directly from one of our distributors, suppliers, or manufacturer warehouses.

Certain products are manufactured, configured, imported, or sourced specifically for a customer's order and may require additional lead time.

When Automation Hub provides a quotation or proposal, we generally include the estimated lead time known at the time the quote is prepared. We make reasonable efforts to meet those estimates as closely as possible.

Unless expressly stated in writing as guaranteed, all lead times, shipping dates, transit times, and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Lead times may change after an order is placed due to circumstances outside Automation Hub's reasonable control.

Inventory & Fulfillment Locations

Products may be fulfilled from:

  • Automation Hub inventory or warehouses
  • Automation Hub branch locations
  • Domestic distributors or suppliers
  • Manufacturer warehouses
  • Third-party fulfillment locations
  • International manufacturers or suppliers

The location shown for Automation Hub or on an order confirmation does not necessarily indicate the location from which the product will ship.

An order containing multiple products may ship from different locations and may arrive in multiple shipments at different times.

Manufacturer & Supplier Lead Times

Automation Hub works with manufacturers and suppliers located throughout the United States and around the world.

For products not currently held in Automation Hub inventory, fulfillment may depend on the applicable manufacturer's or supplier's inventory, production schedule, configuration process, export preparation, and shipping availability.

Although we work closely with our manufacturers and suppliers, Automation Hub does not control their production schedules, inventory levels, warehouse operations, carrier availability, or other fulfillment processes.

Manufacturer and supplier lead times provided to Automation Hub may change without notice.

When we become aware of a significant change affecting an order, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the updated estimated lead time to the customer.

Backorders & Product Availability

From time to time, a product may become backordered, temporarily unavailable, allocated, discontinued, or delayed after an order is placed.

This can occur even when inventory was believed to be available at the time the order or quotation was prepared.

If an item becomes backordered, Automation Hub may:

  • Provide an updated estimated availability date
  • Offer an available alternative when appropriate
  • Split the order and ship available products separately
  • Hold the order until all products are available
  • Work with the customer on another reasonable solution

Backorders and manufacturer delays do not automatically qualify an order for cancellation or refund when the product is special-order, custom-configured, specially sourced, or otherwise non-cancellable under our Return, Refund & Warranty Policy.

Domestic Shipping

Smaller products may ship using common parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar carriers.

Larger products may ship using LTL freight, dedicated freight, specialized carriers, or other commercial transportation services.

Shipping charges may be calculated during checkout, included in a quotation, invoiced separately, or determined after the size, weight, destination, and delivery requirements of the shipment are known.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and appropriate delivery information.

Freight Shipments

Many of the commercial, robotic, industrial, and automation products sold by Automation Hub are too large or heavy for standard parcel shipping and must be transported by freight carrier.

Freight shipments may require:

  • A commercial receiving location
  • Loading dock access
  • Forklift or pallet jack availability
  • Liftgate service
  • Residential delivery service
  • Delivery appointments
  • Inside delivery
  • Limited-access delivery
  • Specialized unloading equipment

Additional charges may apply for these services.

The customer is responsible for informing Automation Hub of any special delivery requirements before shipment whenever possible.

Additional carrier charges resulting from inaccurate delivery information, missed appointments, re-delivery, storage, address changes, limited-access locations, detention, or additional services requested by the customer may be billed to the customer.

International Manufacturers & Import Shipments

Automation Hub works with manufacturers and suppliers located throughout the world. Certain products may therefore require international transportation before reaching Automation Hub, one of our fulfillment partners, or the customer.

International shipments may be affected by:

  • Customs clearance
  • Import or export documentation
  • Duties and tariffs
  • Taxes
  • Brokerage
  • Port congestion
  • Customs inspections
  • Government regulations
  • Export restrictions
  • Carrier availability
  • Vessel or air freight schedules
  • Weather
  • Labor disruptions
  • International holidays
  • Border delays
  • Changes in trade policy
  • Other international transportation issues

These events may cause delays that are outside Automation Hub's control.

Automation Hub will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate estimated lead times and assist in resolving shipping issues, but we cannot guarantee customs clearance dates, international transit times, port processing times, or other government- or carrier-controlled timelines.

Customs, Duties, Tariffs & Import Costs

Unless otherwise specifically stated in a written quotation or sales agreement, quoted product and shipping prices may not include all customs duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage charges, import fees, government assessments, or other charges associated with international transportation.

The party responsible for these charges may vary depending on the shipping arrangement and agreed Incoterms or other written shipping terms.

Any known charges included in Automation Hub's quotation will be identified when practical.

Unexpected duties, tariffs, taxes, government fees, or regulatory charges imposed after an order is placed may be the customer's responsibility unless Automation Hub expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Special-Order, Factory-Order & Custom Equipment

Certain products may be ordered, manufactured, imported, configured, programmed, modified, or prepared specifically for the customer.

Estimated lead times for these products may begin after:

  • Payment or deposit is received
  • Required documentation is completed
  • Product specifications are approved
  • The manufacturer accepts the order
  • Required site or configuration information is provided

Production and fulfillment delays affecting specially ordered equipment may occur.

Once Automation Hub has committed an order to a manufacturer or supplier or incurred costs related to the order, cancellation may be restricted or subject to charges as described in our Return, Refund & Warranty Policy.

Shipping Estimates on Quotations

For many commercial and industrial purchases, Automation Hub provides a written quotation before the order is placed.

Any lead time shown on a quotation represents our best estimate based on the information provided by the manufacturer, supplier, carrier, and/or Automation Hub inventory status at that time.

We make every reasonable effort to meet the estimated timeline stated on our quotations.

However, unless specifically identified as a guaranteed delivery commitment in writing, quoted lead times are estimates and may change due to inventory, production, supplier, transportation, customs, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Shipping Delays

Automation Hub is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Manufacturer production delays
  • Supplier inventory shortages
  • Backorders
  • Carrier delays
  • Weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Customs or border inspections
  • Port congestion
  • Government actions
  • Import or export restrictions
  • Tariff or trade changes
  • Labor strikes or shortages
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Supply-chain interruptions
  • International conflicts
  • Force majeure events

A shipping delay alone does not automatically entitle the customer to cancellation, chargeback, refund, or compensation when Automation Hub and its suppliers are continuing to reasonably fulfill the order.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Delivery Dates & Project Scheduling

Customers should not schedule installers, contractors, electricians, facility shutdowns, travel, construction work, project launches, or other activities that depend upon the equipment's arrival until the equipment has been received and inspected, unless Automation Hub has expressly provided a guaranteed delivery commitment in writing.

Automation Hub is not responsible for labor costs, contractor costs, downtime, travel expenses, lost revenue, lost production, or other consequential expenses caused by estimated shipping or delivery dates changing.

Shipment Tracking

When tracking information is available, Automation Hub will generally provide it to the customer or make it available through the order system.

For some freight, manufacturer-direct, international, or specialized shipments, standard parcel tracking may not be available.

Automation Hub may provide carrier information, freight documentation, estimated arrival information, or other shipment updates when available.

Freight Inspection & Damage

Customers should inspect all shipments promptly upon delivery.

For freight shipments, inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt whenever reasonably possible.

Look for:

  • Torn or crushed packaging
  • Broken pallets or crates
  • Punctures
  • Missing pieces
  • Visible equipment damage
  • Evidence that the shipment was tipped or mishandled
  • Damaged shrink wrap, bands, cartons, or protective materials

If visible damage is present, it should be clearly noted on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.

Whenever possible, take photographs of the shipment before unloading or removing packaging.

Please retain all packaging, pallets, crates, shipping labels, and materials until the issue has been resolved.

Concealed Shipping Damage

Some shipping damage may not be visible until the product is unpacked.

Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery and notify Automation Hub as soon as possible if concealed damage is discovered.

Photographs of the product, packaging, shipping labels, pallet or crate, and damaged area may be required to assist with a freight claim.

Failure to promptly report freight damage may limit our ability to recover from the carrier or supplier.

Refused Shipments

Customers should not refuse a shipment solely because the exterior packaging shows damage unless the damage appears significant or Automation Hub or the carrier instructs the customer to refuse delivery.

If damage is minor or uncertain, accepting the shipment while clearly noting the damage on the delivery receipt may allow the equipment to be inspected and a freight claim pursued.

Unauthorized refusal of an otherwise correct shipment may result in return freight, storage, redelivery, restocking, or other charges being assessed to the customer.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping addresses, contact information, and delivery requirements.

Automation Hub is not responsible for delays, additional carrier charges, lost shipments, or delivery failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Address changes requested after an order has shipped may result in additional carrier fees.

Customer-Arranged Shipping

In some cases, customers may choose to arrange their own freight carrier, provide a shipping account, or pick up equipment.

When a customer selects or controls the carrier, Automation Hub's responsibility for transportation generally ends when the shipment is properly released to the customer's carrier, subject to applicable law and any written agreement between the parties.

The customer is responsible for claims arising from transportation arranged under the customer's shipping account unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Local Pickup

Certain products may be available for pickup from an Automation Hub facility or other approved location.

Pickup availability must be confirmed in advance.

Customers should not travel to an Automation Hub location to pick up an order until Automation Hub has confirmed that the product is ready for pickup.

Identification, proof of purchase, or authorization may be required.

Delivery Does Not Include Installation

Unless installation is specifically included in the customer's quotation, invoice, or agreement, shipping and delivery do not include installation, setup, mapping, programming, assembly, configuration, training, electrical work, network setup, or commissioning.

These services may be available separately depending on the product and customer location.

International Customer Orders

Customers located outside the United States should contact Automation Hub regarding product availability and international shipping options.

Not all products can be shipped to every country due to manufacturer restrictions, regulatory requirements, battery transportation regulations, export controls, warranty limitations, or other restrictions.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that products purchased are legally permitted and suitable for import and use in the destination country unless Automation Hub expressly agrees to handle those requirements.

Order Changes & Shipping Changes

Requests to change a shipping address, delivery method, product quantity, configuration, or other order details should be submitted as soon as possible.

Automation Hub will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, but changes may not be possible once an order has entered fulfillment, production, international transit, or shipment.

Additional costs resulting from customer-requested changes may be charged to the customer.

Risk of Loss

Risk of loss and responsibility for shipments will be determined according to the applicable shipping arrangement, carrier terms, quotation, sales agreement, and applicable law.

Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to eliminate obligations Automation Hub has under applicable law for goods that are lost or damaged before responsibility legally transfers to the customer.

Returns Related to Shipping

Shipping delays, freight damage, incorrect products, refused shipments, and other shipping-related return requests are also subject to our Return, Refund & Warranty Policy.

Customers should not return equipment without first receiving authorization and shipping instructions from Automation Hub.
